By popular demand, ART Santa Fe is now an annual event!
I am pleased to invite you to apply for participation in ART Santa
Fe 2008. As its eighth edition approaches, ART Santa Fe has become
an important event in the international contemporary art community,
as well as in Santa Fe’s own art world, now the third largest art
market in the country. As in the past, we expect exhibitors and
visitors from across the U.S. and across the world. In 2008, the
fair will again be presented in Santa Fe’s El Museo Cultural Center,
located across from Site Santa Fe, and will offer collectors and
dealers the opportunity to view and exhibit the best in contemporary
art from the international art community.
ART Santa Fe 2008 will be held on July 11, 12, and 13, with its
Vernissage, the opening gala, on the evening of July 10. Please
mark your calendars for these important dates. Once again, the fair
will be surrounded by a glittering set of special events. ART Santa
Fe 2008 will coincide with other major art and cultural events held
in Santa Fe in mid July. We
believe that the alliance of these events will bring a particularly
large and sophisticated group of collectors to Santa Fe for this
exciting weekend. Local galleries are also expected to mount
special exhibitions for this weekend.
ART Santa Fe 2008 also offers exhibitors and visitors the
opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful time of year in this unique
and interesting city. Santa Fe’s rich cultural mix includes
performances at the award-winning open-air theater of the world
renown Santa Fe Opera, with sunset and stars forming part of the
backdrop; the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival; and Santa Fe Stages.
Numerous outdoor activities take advantage of our ideal climate and
allow visitors to enjoy the famed beauty of the New Mexico
landscape. Our website provides information on many of the events
you can enjoy during and after ART Santa Fe.
ART Santa Fe 2008 will advertise in art trade magazines and travel
publications. We expect extensive editorial coverage as well. Post
cards will be available for exhibitors to mail to their collectors.
The 2007 fair received rave reviews from gallerists, collectors, and
the press, and we are already enjoying a strong word-of-mouth “buzz”
about ART Santa Fe 2008. Interest is strong, so we encourage you to
