ART Santa Fe 2007
The glamorous international art fair
circuit is where the world's collectors and purveyors of fine
contemporary art come to
meet and do business.
A rising
star in this constellation of sophisticated events is ART Santa Fe, an
international art fair presented July 2007 at Santa Fe’s El Museo de Cultural.

ART Santa Fe is known as a "boutique" fair. Big enough to be
interesting, small enough to be intimate and digestible, the fair offers
visitors a highly selective overview of the contemporary art market.
Visitors to ART Santa Fe have found it to be a gem among
art fairs.

The 2007 lineup of exhibitors included an array of domestic and
international galleries, exhibiting works that ranged from edgy to
established. Cutting edge media groups returned with a fresh
matrix of interactive installations.
The glittering set of special events surrounding ART Santa Fe 2007 included
the Vernissage,
the fair's opening gala.

Museum groups and other arts organizations from all over the country attended the fair, enjoying
tours of private collections and artist studios as well as the fair’s
exhibitions and special events. The city’s own museums and other arts
and cultural organizations offered exhibitions and a variety of
additional programs on this important weekend in the city’s high cultural and social
season.
ART Santa Fe has attracted wide attention in the press, including CNN,
The Boston Herald, Santa Barbara News, El Paso Times, Houston Chronicle,
Denver Post, San Diego Union Tribune, and in major art trade magazines such as,
Art in America, Art & Auction,
and Art Newspaper, among others, and
virtual blanket coverage in statewide press. Word of the fair's success
has spread by the international art community grapevine.
ART Santa Fe’s focus is on presenting a carefully selected collection of
contemporary and modern art for an audience of art professionals, collectors, museum groups
and the general public. Visitors to the fair have praised the quality
and wide reach of the offerings, presented in an accessible format that
allows an intimate, unhurried viewing experience.
